It has definitely been awhile since I have caught you up with some of my 30before30s! I know this may sound silly but singing Miami in Miami was something I truly wanted to do when I originally created my original list of "things to do in life" in 8th grade. It's simple and fun. I know when I came up with the idea, I had my sister and I pictured in a convertible, driving down a main drag, screaming Will Smith's lyrics at the top of our lungs. That is not necessarily how it came to be true.
Conjoined with a business trip few years back, I made a mini vacation to visit my grandma in Florida and attend a conference in Texas before I flew to Minnesota for some work. In between Florida and Texas, I had a chance to have a half of a day's layover in Miami where I rode the tram back and forth from one end to the another and out loud sang... "Miami".
It was awesome, I recorded the moment, and then took this lovely picture of the coast line. It is a story that I tell only when people ask me the craziest thing that I have done. I do not necessarily think that it is outlandish, or the craziest thing I have ever done...but when you mention to others that you purposely scheduled a layover by yourself in Miami while flying from Orlando to Dallas/Ft. Worth to sing a song in a tram aloud, the looks from those others make one feel a bit out of place.
I love it though; I wish I did more things like this.
