Monday, October 5 :: Explain your blog name. How did you come up with it? What does it mean?
I use to write underneath the domain hbfotographie.com -- which made sense for the time being; however, I really did not think very long term. I love photography and was doing quite a bit of shooting as a side business during the time of my blog launch, but when it came down to adding recipes and home decor and general life posts... it did not really seem to make sense. Why was a photography blog posting on quick lunch ideas? There was no rhyme or reason to it.
So just a few months ago, I rebranded. New logo. New colors. And a new domain. I know that overall it was a great decision; however, even having the redirect for a couple of a months, I have lost a lot of followers. It took a lot of work even to update many of my Pinterest posts to have it direct to my new site.
My hopes for Bahorich Abode is to find joy in each of our homes through scripture, suitcases (traveling), and sweet tea (cooking). I hope that with each post I learn something new about myself and strive to know more about building community and hospitality with each day and/or meal that come our way. I want it to be a place of intentionality and love and honesty.
