Hello! My name is Ashley and I am the Social Media Marketing Manager for My Oil Gear. We provide diffusers, glassware and accessories for people who use essential oils.
Needless to say, essential oils are a HUGE part of our daily lives. I am also a Disney girl, through and through. I participated in the Disney College Program in 2008 and it solidified my love for Disney.
So what could be better than combining 2 of my biggest passions by creating a Disney inspired essential oil diffuser blend? It is amazing to me how scents not only can take you to another place and fully impact your mood.
In February, we were gearing up for a big event in Orlando which also included a team building day at Disney. I had been experimenting trying to recreate some of my favorite Disney scents for the diffuser. I knew that the woodsy and citrus scent of Soarin’ at EPCOT would probably be the easiest one to recreate. But I had to find the right balance of citrus oils and a few days before our trip I finally felt like I hit the jackpot.
If you have never been on Soarin’, it is an attraction at EPCOT at Walt Disney World. You load up into chairs and they lift you up in front of a huge screen that takes you "soaring" through different scenes and places in California. They heighten your senses by coordinating scents with some of the different fly-through scenes. The 2 most noticeable scents are a woodsy scent are you fly through a river scene over trees. You also fly over an Orange Grove and the ride is filled with a wonderful orange scent.
