2 Months Old

I can already imagine how much of a broken record I am going to sound like by the time Mr. Ollie is a year old, but boy! Two months already?! How did that even happen? I am finally starting to get the hang out this whole motherhood thing (kind of) and have to return back to work tomorrow.

We started smiling this month and it is just adorable. In the opposite spectrum, Ollie has started producing tears sometimes when he cries. It's awful and breaks my heart. We started going to the grocery store together (just us two), making more and more adventures like a lunch date in the city (again just us two), and a long drive by ourselves to my parents (once again just us two). I also had such an irrational fear of changing his diaper in a public restroom, and we found ourselves with no choice but to face that fear. Each day is easier.

Ollie is sleeping fairly well at night but still like to fuss during the day. His cries are more like frustrated grunts and they are getting fewer each day. He typically naps really well and still loves bath time. He has discovered himself in the mirror, enjoys watching the Olympics, and plays each morning with his Kick 'n Play Piano. I cannot believe that he is still mine.
