We have really been struggling with brushing our teeth here in the Bahorich home, and my discovery of The Brushies couldn't have been perfect timing.
Ollie just hit sixteen months and has TEN teeth!! The doctor said it's time to start paying attention to our teeth and brushing them 2x a day. After seeing a few of my friends spend a small fortune on baby teeth cavities and extractions (seriously), I knew it was time to take this seriously. Honestly, it hasn't been an easy walk in the park. We have tried two different "starter" toddler toothbrushes with little to no excitement. Actually, far from excitement... more like kicks and screams and the works.

The gift set comes with four Brushie friends and a book that all are super cute. The pictures are vibrant and fun. The rhyming makes the story flow really well together, which makes it one of our new go-to bedtime reads. Ollie is absolutely loving this book!
I love how the book really sets the stage to teach your little one about brushing their teeth. It teaches them in a kid-friendly way that they can understand. It talks about "the sugar bugs" and how the team "chases" them away! How cute is that?!
Each toothbrush is a finger puppet toothbrush that coordinates with the book's team and they are fantastic! It's great because you can use these as early as 4 weeks old, which is honestly when we should have started. By doing this daily and at such a young age, you can easily create healthy habits! While using them, have fun and be silly! Dusty and I want our kids to look at brushing their teeth as a good thing, not something that is all about kicks and screams! By starting at a young age and creating positive associations with brushing, Ollie is on the path to healthy oral care in the future!
