I recently stayed at Hilton Chicago downtown during a business trip and was able to enjoy the resort's numerous amenities during my stay, including catered dining, office amenities, and the hotel gym. While I did not partnered with Hilton Chicago on this post, I wanted to be clear that my opinions and thoughts on my experience are my own.
Staying in the midst of the magic of the Magnificent Mile, it's always so fun to visit and soak it all up! I recently visited Hilton Chicago for a business trip to do just that! Located right on the Magnificent Mile, a premier shopping destination and ideal access to Chicago's Millennium Park and Navy Pier, Hilton Chicago has access to all of the fun of the city with the touch of old an new.
Although a convention hotel with all of the hustle and bustle, it isn't cookie cutter at all! The 1920s heritage with its Renaissance-inspired entrance hall and glamorous ballroom, you feel like you step back in time to a simpler day. What I loved most about this hotel were all of the amenities and having access to the all of the great iconic places in downtown Chicago during our stay.
The hotel itself is huge, but even so, it feels very homey. The rooms are spacious for downtown Chicago standards and they have been modernized throughout the year while keeping the historic roots. They provide rooms with Murphy beds, two-bath rooms (with double beds), and tons of rooms on executive levels, serving complimentary breakfast and evening snacks.
In the bathrooms you can find sinks crafted from mahogany-hued wood which features three floating shelves and a larger-than-normal light-up wall mirror. Walk-in showers are available in various rooms which are still spacious even at the most standard of room levels. My personal room had a perfectly sized tub, just in case you are traveling with littles as well.
Let's talk about the lobby though... It is so chic and classy! The escalator speaks to the high traffic passing through and yes, it can become congested at times, but if you escape into 720 South Bar, just off the lobby, you can warm up next to a crackling fireplace with a cool beer in hand to help you escape from your work or enjoy a nice drink before heading out on the town with the family.
The hotel pool has seasonal sundeck adjacent to the indoor pool contributes to a day-spa-like vibe, and if you're a work-out nut like my husband, then this is your hotel as the fitness center is among the largest at a downtown-Chicago hotel, clocking in at 28,000 feet, and includes an indoor track.
Overall, I had such an amazing time at the Hilton Chicago hotel and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the city and all of its sights! We can't thank Hilton Chicago enough for their incredible hospitality and service during our stay. I'd highly recommend checking into Hilton Chicago on your next visit (or staycation) in downtown Chicago. I know I cannot wait to return there for a more leisurely stay in the near future!
