Shop Small :: kspeddler

I cannot believe we are getting closer and closer to Christmas. These days are literally flying by. As I'm decorating the house for guests and visitors this season, I could not wait to introduce to you kspeddler. Michelle's Rudolph sign just glows in our home. It is the first thing that you see when you walk into our door and it matches our decor perfectly. Just a bit of Christmas and a lot of the wonderful farmhouse feel that everybody is into these days. I just love it!

Here is a little bit more about Michelle, the owner of kspeddler:

How did you get your shop started?
My name is Michelle Moyers and my husband and I started this business almost 6 years ago out of our house, then moved to our garage and then to our warehouse building! I lost my job and decided that I would do something to make extra money while looking for something else. I have always love to do crafts and had been wanting to make subway art!

What is the hardest part of owning a shop?
The hardest thing is staying organized for me. I'm a creative person so organizational is not one of my greatest qualities : ) Also being able to shut if off in the evenings and take care of my household work, help plan my daughter's upcoming wedding, etc....

What is one thing unique about you?
Unique, hmmm I have a parrot that can sing the national anthem! Not really about me but he is unique LOL I'm a lover of life! I love to make others happy and am a perfectionist when it comes to our artwork.

What is the best part of owning a shop?
Being able to work in my pajamas! Also my husband is legally blind and doesn't drive so now that I work at home I am able to take care of dr. appts and everything else. Which was super hard when I worked outside the home 40 hours a week. I work a ton more than 40 a week now but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

How did you get your shop name?
Like I said, I had lost my job and just wanted to see what selling was like on etsy so I used the name kspeddler. My son and husband used to sell on ebay years ago and he came up with the name since we are originally from Kansas, KS(Kansas)peddler! Anyway, it stuck with me and then the shop took off. I didn't want to lose my following so I just kept it!

What is one way that you keep organized?
I don't keep organized! That is my new years resolution this coming year to work on that!

How do you balance family life and work life?
I guess you could say I balance everything with a God, a great family and lots of coffee!

Styling my home this year was so easy and my Rudolph sign by kspeddler was a perfect addition!!
