It's our last day of our Holiday Shop Small series and I honestly cannot think of a better shop to end with. I want to introduce you to Signed with Grace.

Here is a little bit more about the owner of Signed with Grace:
How did you get your shop started?
I started off with the idea of making signs for friends and family. This was such a big success that I decided that I wanted to try starting an Etsy shop to see if I could sell my signs to others around the United States. I took some Etsy courses and did a lot of research about how to make your shop successful. Over the past year, my shop has grown and I have consistent orders coming in daily.
What is the hardest part of owning a shop?
The hardest part about owning a shop is managing a full time job, family, and also keeping up with orders in a timely manner. It is also difficult because all of my signs are freehand painted so it takes me longer than if I would just use a stencil, but I think that is what makes my signs so special!
What is one thing unique about you?
I am a speech language pathologist full time and am having my first baby in January.
What is the best part of owning a shop?
The best part about owning a shop is that it's something that I get to make all the decisions for and have the freedom to choose what I want to make. I also get to work alongside my husband with my business as he does all of the handy work which allows me to just do the art and creating side of it all.
How did you get your shop name?
SignedwithGrace came from the idea from the bible verse, Ephesians 2:8 which says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not from yourselves, it is a gift from God" to remind myself that my abilities to do this is only because of the grace of God and the success of business is a gift from God.
What is one way that you keep organized?
I have cupboards that I store all of my sign making materials in and nothing else goes in these cupboards. For the business side, I use the Etsy app to keep my orders organized. I use the Quicken app to keep my expenses and income tracked. I also use a filing system to keep track of shipping/expense receipts and important documents.
How do you balance family life and work life?
I balance everything by taking it one day at a time. I know I am only able to achieve so much in a day, and if it doesn't get done, there's always tomorrow. I also allow myself 1-2 weeks to complete orders so that I have plenty of time.
