The last recipes that I will leave you with for the week are those recipes for entertaining. Shauna Niequist said it best when she wrote about hospitality versus entertaining in her book, Bread and Wine, "We practice hospitality, creating soft and safe places for people to connect and rest."
Thanksgiving is not about entertaining, but being hospitable to those that we invite into our house. When we give thanks, we want to create a space for others to connect, love, enjoy, and rest in such a way that would please God and display the love of Jesus. And although these "recipes" create cute spaces that we want to Instagram and pin for the world to see, and although they may be fun to create and share, please ensure that you focus this holiday on showing hospitality and not just to entertain.
