Natural Diapering with Nest Diapers

Thank you, Nest Diapers, for sponsoring this post, Natural Diapering with Nest Diapers. I was selected for this opportunity by Nest Diapers; the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

I remember when I was pregnant with Ollie, I consistently thought about the products I was bringing into my home, putting on my body, and things I was consuming during the day. My pregnancy nearly five years ago was a time of great joy, but also great fear, because we had lost a baby. We had spent nearly a year trying to this babe. And there was so much that I did not know.

What I was learning through that pregnancy was the amount of chemicals in our cleaning products, on our clothes, in the air, in my make-up, lotions, soaps, and so so so much more. It was honestly frightening as a young mom already feeling like I didn't know enough. I reached day and night learning about chemicals, and how to do a more natural way of living. I started my journey with Young Living and really found friendship and a community of mothers that were learning similar knowledge.

It was such a great time, and honestly, I can say that I looked back and felt supported, loved, and knowledgeable as we brought Ollie home for the first time.

Except for when it came to diapers.

I knew there were chemicals in our diapers and wipes but I did not know what to do about it. There wasn't much options. I knew I wasn't a cloth diaper person. It wasn't in the cards for me, and we could not find a reasonable sitter that was on board for it either. And so, I felt like I was doing all that I could, all that I knew, and didn't beat myself up. But I never stopped looking... until now.

Meet Nest Baby Diapers

I found Nest Baby Diapers a few weeks ago and wanted to share my excitement with you! Nest Baby Diapers are exactly what I have been looking for all of this time! They are eco-friendly, made with hand-selected sustainable materials that are free of harmful chemicals, lotions, perfume, and known allergens. They offer a soft, absorbent design that you (and your baby) will love.

First of all, I love the fact that Nest is eco-friendly and transparent about the ingredients that make up their diaper. The primary materials are plant-based; see the full list of ingredients below:

These disposable baby diapers are safe and perfect for sensitive skin, which is so important when you have littles with skin that turns red when you look at it the wrong way. Ha! Nest Diapers are made of plant-based renewable materials that protect your baby’s precious skin while greatly reducing its impact on the environment. Their diapers' unique absorbent core has been developed to maximize absorption while using as little synthetic material (SAP) as possible.

But do they work? Absolutely. They feel very different from a standard diaper if you ask me. They are much softer and feel more absorbent. They stretch and fit perfectly on baby’s body as if they were cloth and even have my favorite moisture strip to tell you they’re wet. I have never been more impressed by a diaper!

Nest Diapers don’t believe in keeping secrets and they believer their consumers have a right to know what goes into their products. That’s why they take pride in clearly listing their ingredients and ensuring their customers know what their products do not include. Just look at the list of ingredients that can be found in common diaper brands that Nest just stays away from!

Composting with Nest

One of the niftiest things about Nest Diapers is that they are compostable plant-based diapers. With the right partners, Next believes they can reduce the long term impact associated with disposable diapering. They are partnering with select diaper compost providers who can properly manage the disposal if you live in the right areas.

Although smack dab in the middle of the Midwest isn't usually the most innovative when it comes to these types of initiatives, Nest is continuing to research and connect with ways to help all of us minimize the impact we make on the planet for the better! It helps me feel so good to know that there is a company out there that is not only producing a great product, but also researching things like diaper composting to help us all be better at being socially responsible!

The Diaper Difference

The best difference I see in Nest Diapers compared the other competing popular brands, is purely the ingredients! Nest Diapers are what diapers brands should aspire to be. Take diapers out of the landfill and turn them into compost instead! Diapers will always be a necessity because life is sometimes just too busy. But that doesn’t mean we need to sacrifice the planet’s needs to fit our lifestyles.

Check out Nest Diapers and diaper those babies proudly!
