1. Try a New Recipe
It sounds so simple, but it seems as if everyday I am either free-styling or merely relying on something that I have created before. Cooking is magical to me, uplifting and joyful. I’m thinking about maybe attempting this or even this.
2. Find a Local Something
Let’s face it. Even though my husband and I have lived in the area for almost six months now, we do not have a regular anything. We love to explore but long for that routine Mexican restaurant or Saturday morning coffee place. The one where the waitress knows your name and your order. Somewhere that feels like home.
3. Try Being a Tourist
My husband and I have lived in St. Louis or near around for many years. For him, he even grew up here! But there are so many little neighborhoods and events that we have still not discovered. St. Louis is one of the few places that you could do be a tourist for an entire week and not spend a dime! We are attempting a “stay-cation” this year and I want to be a tourist of my own town and explore.
4. Renovate
This seems like an never-ending season of our lives — renovation. But I love it. It is exhausting. It is trying. But creating our house into a home is so rewarding. I cannot wait to continue and start sharing our finish projects.
5. Quit a Bad Habit
I confess. I am a serial goal setter. With that, reshaping my diet, my sleep schedule, my nighttime routine, my workout… I do it often, because I never stick to it. I want to just pick one and quit my bad habits associated with it. Maybe it’s just washing my face at night (every night) and learning how to take care of my skin before going to bed. Maybe it’s just actually making it to the gym more than twice a month.
